We’re real people.

We’re curious, engaged, honest and friendly. We’re good at what we do, and we love working with others who are, too.

We listen to what you want. We pick your brain to uncover hidden details and do all the background research you don’t have time for. We obsess about how to make sure every word is exactly right. Then we give you copy that works.

And though we’re creative types, we know how to do business: We respond quickly. We’re eager to hear your feedback. We don’t mess around—we’ll get your project done when we say we will.

If we sound like your kind of people, we’d love to hear from you.

Laura Scholes
For 10 years, Laura trained and worked as a journalist writing about everything from architectural lighting to robotic surgery. A few years ago, she got addicted to writing copy and now puts her journalistic skill at “instant expertise” to use for an eclectic mix of clients. She loves taking corporate-ese and turning it into content that’s fresh and irresistible. She is efficient, good humored, and brings passion and care to every project. She’s written one novel that’s tucked away on an old hard drive and is very slowly working on a second. She wishes she still had her 1957 Ford F100 pickup and recently fulfilled a dream by purchasing a 1958 Shasta trailer (check it out over there on the left!). Laura has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Mississippi and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Fiction) from the University of Montana.

Rob Baedeker
Rob is a writer, editor, teacher, and performer who has written for a wide range of publications and corporations. He is the co-author, with the comedy group Kasper Hauser, of three books: SkyMaul (“bang-up hilarious” — The Seattle Times); Weddings of the Times (“a pitch-perfect sendup” — San Francisco Magazine); and Obama’s Blackberry (“Wickedly funny” — The Chicago Tribune). Kasper Hauser’s work has been featured on Public Radio International’s “This American Life” and “Marketplace,” NPR’s “All Things Considered,” and CNN. Rob holds a B.A. in Modern Thought and Literature from Stanford University and an M.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania.

Julie Caskey
As a video producer and editor, Julie is a sure-handed storyteller, deftly uncovering the narrative spine in any project—fiction or documentary—and making it uniquely compelling. Her music background (she is a classical pianist) influences her work in two important ways: she has great instincts for rhythm and pacing, and she delights in the surprising ways music can elevate a project’s mood and tone. Though she has a strong creative voice, she’s easy to work with and has years of experience working both independently and as part of a team.
